If walking and a combined love of history and exploration are your idea of the perfect combo, this ramble is definitely for you!
This particular route is classed as moderately challenging but a lovely walk taking in mainly the river and woods. The walk follows the Roman Walls before crossing over the Dee and taking in the Duke of Westminster estates before you visit the Dee Railway Bridge where 2 of the tracks have fallen into disrepair. The whole walk covers over 2000 years of history so definitely one for those who love their history!
Other hikers report that this walk is relatively flat but there are areas that can be muddy when there has been recent inclement weather so please make sure you have your waterproof sturdy boots on!
