Richmond & Northallerton 24.04.2024

Nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, the cobbled market place of Richmond is our first stop of the day, and would you believe it, it’s also market day too!

Grab yourself a bargain or two (there’s plenty of space in the hold) before you head into the main town for some exploring. If architectural and  history is the order of the day, there’s plenty to see with the Green Howards Museum, Richmond Castle and Richmondshire Museum (admission not included) or if the arts is for you,  there are several galleries to whet your whistle. And not forgetting, plenty of independent and high street named stores for those who love to shop until your arms drop!

As the afternoon goes on, it’s time to move to Northallerton — another beautiful town within the Yorkshire Dales and for the bargain hunters there is a market fit for a king. It’s not just about the shopping centre, perhaps you will make your way to Mount Grace Priory House and Gardens (admission not included) for a relaxing walk and exploration (the reconstructed monks cell is worth a look!) or will you head to the Joe Cornish Gallery instead.
