Make the most of the last few days of Summer with a trip to sunny Southport. 
 
 This charming seaside town is the perfect place to spend one last day out before September.  Head to Southport’s sandy beach for a paddle or bring your bucket and spade to make the obligatory sandcastle. If you’ve got the kids with you, why not head for Southport Pleasureland (admission not included) for all the fun of the fair, sure to delight your young thrill seekers. Maybe you are looking to treat yourself amongst the many shops and cafes waiting to tempt you. 
 
 For a more reflective time, why not visit the Botanic Gardens where there is an abundance of     colours from the fantastic floral displays. Or visit the aviary to see birds including Macaws, doves and parakeets. You might even find time for game of mini-golf: will YOU get a hole in one?
