Thorp Perrow Arboretum & Thirsk 18.04.2024
Brand new for 2024 — we’re off to North Yorkshire for the day to visit the Thorp Perrow Arboretum and Birds of Prey Centre followed by the town of Thirsk.
Our day begins at the Arboretum where you’ll have plenty to see with the spring flowers in bloom; a collection of the largest and rarest trees and shrubs in England blossoming into their full glory and of course a collection of Birds of Prey, a Mammal Centre (you can feed the wallabies here!) and a Home & Garden shop!
Your day doesn't end here though!
We’re off to Thirsk — the home of James Herriot. Will you head to the World of James Herriot Museum first to learn all about the famous author and the mastermind behind ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ (Admission not included), or will you go to the Thirsk Museum to learn about the local area? (Admission not included). If museums are not for you, there’s still plenty on offer with lots of local shops and restaurants to meander around and relax too!
