Set against the picturesque backdrop of Buxton’s historic surroundings, this day out promises to be jam-packed with nostalgia, history and vintage charm. Experience the sights and sounds of the 1940s era as you meet wartime characters around the town, and enjoy the opportunity to get up close to the range of military vehicles on display from lorries to jeeps.

Why not visit the bustling Vintage Market where you can purchase vintage fashions, antiques,     collectibles and homewares you may not have seen since visiting your Granny’s house as a child.

The live music and entertainment (including singers, dancers and swing bands), are sure to get your toes tapping against a backdrop of period uniforms that will be found all around the town.

Whilst you are visiting this beautiful spa town, why not head to St Ann’s Well to sample the famous waters for yourself. You will find delightful independent retailers around every corner alongside  restaurants, cafes and tearooms ready to tempt you with delicious homemade treats.

Visitors are encouraged to dress in 1940s fashions to enhance the experience for everyone, so dust off your glad rags, dig out your ration book and immerse yourself in a world of 1940s nostalgia.

We will try to get you as close to your preferred area where possible and advise you of where your allocated seats are on the vehicle.


In the event that the vehicle is upgraded to a bigger one or downsized to a smaller one, we reserve the right to re-allocate your seat. We endeavour to keep your seating location as close to the original booking allocation.

Should a change in seat number happen, a member of the team will be in contact with you to advise you of your new seat numbers before your trip and the driver on the day will be on hand to remind you of your updated seats too.
