Grasmere & Bowness on Windermere 28/06/2026
Grasmere and Bowness: the most impressive dynamic duo of the Lakes!
We are starting our day with sublime Lake District views in Grasmere! If you do love a spot of art and design, you may draw inspiration from the many art galleries located in Grasmere, showcasing paintings of the landscape and much, much more!
But before you leave, don’t forget to drop by the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop; Grasmere’s most popular bakery for all of your sweet treat delights! Mint cake anyone?
Our afternoon commences in Bowness, where the scenery just keeps getting prettier and prettier!
You could have some lunch here; there’s many restaurants and cafés in the town centre to enjoy a scrumptious meal! Just a short 10-minute walk away houses the Windermere Jetty Museum (admission not included), where you can gaze in awe at the boats being crafted by hand and maybe even take a ride on one of the jetties around the lake! A superb experience to say the least!
Alternatively, if you’re an avid reader perhaps you would like to try the iconic Beatrix Potter Museum? (admission not included) Say hello to Peter Rabbit whilst you’re there!
We simply couldn’t refuse an opportunity to visit the Lakes during the summer season; Grasmere and Bowness are almost too good to be true!
