January Sale 2026: Day Trips
We do love a good trip with a twist! We are visiting the AWARD WINNING British Ironworks Centre AND Oswestry!
Our morning starts in the lovely town of Oswestry. It’s market day, so the town will be hustling and bustling with bargains galore and great produce to show for it. Not only do you have access to the fine markets, but its worth visiting the Cambrian Heritage Railway, full of vintage steam trains (admission not included).
And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment everybody has been waiting for: the British Ironworks Centre!
Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome talk and receive fast track entry, so you can beat the queues!
The British Ironworks are home to the nation’s largest collection of decorative metalwork and they are quite incredible indeed! (and priceless too!) Did you know, scrap metal and waste is used to craft these remarkable sculptures and bring them to life! (not literally though!).
In your day, you may spot:
· A Gorilla made of Spoons
· WW1 Red Baron Biplane
· The Manchester Bee
· The Famous King’s Coronation Dragon
· And many, many more!
This amazing sculpture park also offers a unique shopping experience and fresh dining, on top of holding many of the most inspiring sculptures and incredible art from around the world. It’s just like stepping into a whole new dimension!
So if you’re after a day out with great sightseeing, great bargains and great food, then Oswestry and the British Ironworks Centre are your destinations! All-in-all - that’s pretty great for one day!
