This trail starts from the Pavilion Gardens Car park in Buxton and leads you out of town and through Corbar Wood on a winding ascent up to the summit of Corbar Hill, which is marked by a trig point. Here, you are treated to fantastic views of the town below, the surrounding hills, and the nearby Peak District. Continue over the moorland hills before descending through Light Wood, following the brook back down, and returning to Buxton. Some paths may be muddy at times, so come prepared with the appropriate footwear to navigate the rougher sections.
This trail is great for hiking, running, and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
