Famous as the beautiful backdrop for the beloved 1970 film The Railway Children, this nostalgic route closely follows the tracks of the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. As you set off from the charming, cobbled streets of Haworth, you will enjoy the unforgettable sight and sound of vintage steam trains chugging through the picturesque Yorkshire countryside. The trail guides you through rolling farm fields and along tranquil valley paths before arriving at the iconic Oakworth Station. This perfectly preserved Edwardian station served as the main filming location for the movie. There are also a few stiles to navigate along the way. With plenty of fantastic traditional pubs, quaint tearooms, and parking options waiting for you back in Haworth, it is a truly magical route for an adventure.
